The Department is supervised by Catherine Hartland; for 6 years Catherine has extensive experience running a service known as ‘The Legal Advice Service’, advising thousands of Tenants on how to make successful claims against Landlords; during her work she never lost a claim she commenced against a Landlord, Catherine says:
‘working along side a Local Authority in one of the most socially deprived areas of Wales, together with housing charities and Tenant groups gave me an incredible amount of experience, my brief was to maintain Tenancies whenever lawfully possible; through my work I found around 80% of Landlords served incorrect notices on Tenants and followed incorrect procedures and that allowed me to win 100% of my cases, I can now use that knowledge and experience assisting Agents and Landlords’.
