We provide our clients with advice in relation to splitting finances following a divorce. We hope that an agreement can be reached, however this is not always possible.
Where an agreement is reached we draft what is known as a “by Consent Order” meaning that the parties have agreed the split of the assets.
Where an agreement has not been reached, we assist our clients with the documentation, (which is unfortunately rather lengthy) and the Court process.
Our conveyancing team are always available to deal with the sale or transfer of the home.
The financial element of the divorce should be dealt with before the Decree Absolute is granted.
